Shop assistant Emma Rea is hoping they’ll be with their rightful owner by Anzac Day.
Ms Rea was working at Rivers on Sunday when she stumbled across the set and accompanying ribbons strip about 1pm.
“I found them in a plastic bag and next to them was a fuel receipt from Apco so I think they must have fallen out of somebody’s bag,” she said.
“At first I thought it was just candy but then when I picked them up I realised it was much more special.”
The Border Mail will be commemorating Anzac Day with a series of picture galleries, including reader submissions showing how you are honouring our soldiers.

Ms Rea was immediately concerned about the personal value of the medals but was confident the owner would return.
When he didn’t, she phoned the police but was disappointed when nobody had contacted them either.
Ms Rea contacted The Border Mail to encourage the owner to come forward.
“It’s something quite serious to lose,” Ms Rea said.
“Especially when Anzac Day is so close.
“Somebody is going to notice they are lost when it comes to Anzac Day.
“Maybe they haven’t even realised they’ve lost them yet.
“I’d like to find the owner because if they were mine I’d be devastated.
“I am guessing they mean something really special to the person who lost them.”
Ms Rea said she wanted to do a good deed leading up to Anzac Day and her ultimate goal was to get the medals back to where they belonged.
“I’m just glad somebody else didn’t pick them up and try to claim them,” Ms Rea said.
