Crews were called to the blaze on Ridge Trail, at the top of Pemberton Street, about 8.50am and found the car engulfed in flames.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Albury Central and Civic were called, along with Rural Fire Service volunteers.
Albury Central station commander Glenn Kimpton said while the car was “burning very well”, there was no threat to surrounding bushland.
This was in part due to the morning dew and mild weather at that time of day.
“It didn’t take long to put out — it was more a matter of getting to it,” Mr Kimpton said.
The car was a Subaru Forrester with a Victorian registration.
