His itinerary includes touring the new mental health unit at the Wagga Base Hospital, meeting with representatives of Riverina East Regional Organisation of Councils (REROC), visiting the site of the proposed logistics hub at Bomen and meeting farmers.
Mr Baird was state treasurer before being appointed Premier after Barry O’Farrell resigned.
The Premier will be accompanied by Health Minister Jillian Skinner, the Minister for Mental Health, Jai Rowell, and the Parliamentary Secretary for Rural and Regional Affairs, Daryl Maguire, who is also member for Wagga.
