Eighty women, six teams, every Monday night through rain, hail but generally not thunderstorms.
It’s the veteran women’s hockey at Albury Hockey Centre and organisers say they are always looking for more players.
Joanne Duffy said the Monday night competition started 18 years ago and was still going strong.
“It’s just a great chance for everyone to come together and have a hit,” she said.
“There is a mix of women, some have played state league others had never picked up a stick before they started playing.
“The age cut-off for veterans is technically 35 but we have a few just under that who play and we try to make sure the teams are evenly balanced.
“We base all the matches at Albury with games at 6.30pm and 7.45pm.
“I guess we just hope that more people come down and play.”
