For the first time this season, both sides will be playing against an opponent that they have some knowledge of, thanks to the rivalries developed during the Country Basketball League.
While the Bushrangers have been slowly settling into the competition, the Gators have enjoyed a solid start to the season and sit second with a 6-1 win-loss record.
The Bushrangers will have their work cut out to contain a well-balanced Gators line-up, led by star point guard Matt Bartlett (21 points per game and six rebounds per game).
The challenge of shutting down Bartlett will likely fall to Bobby Tye.
Bushrangers big men Dylan Webb, Ben Appleford and Christian Paynter will be under pressure to contain Shepparton’s imposing front court of John Woodcock and John Lewis.
And in a major bonus for the Bushrangers, guard Michael Torres has received his clearance to play and will suit up to add some much needed depth.
The Lady Bushrangers will be keen to make a statement after going agonisingly close to their second win at the weekend.
Stacey Browne will look to continue her solid offensive form, while Sarah Mellington will be a key contributor on both ends of the court.
They will be hoping youngster Jade McCowan can have a break out game after a quiet start, while Alaana Northey will look to bounce back from a tough weekend.
In a blow, captain Rachel Jeffery is under an injury cloud.
Tip-off is 5pm.
