FROM Hollywood glamour to beach waves — Albury hairdressers were shown the latest looks and tips by one of Sydney’s top hair stylists yesterday.

Brad Ngata held a one-day workshop with 11 hairdressers from Lola Wigg Hair Cafe in AMP Lane.

“Brad is considered hairdressing royalty with his long string of accolades,” owner Bree Brown said.

The L’Oreal professional ambassador has been awarded Australian Hair Expo’s Australian Hairdresser of the Year twice and named Sydney’s best hairdresser for two years straight in the consumer media awards.

“He is here to help us lift standards and put Albury on the map,” Mrs Brown said.

“In order to provide the best standards, we have to bring the best here.”

Mr Ngata has been in the hair game for 30 years and has two salons in Sydney.

“Hairdressing started as a part-time job for me while I was at art college, but I have turned it into a career while still being creative,” he said.

The No. 1 tip he had for styling hair was to use salon-quality products.
