Parenting expert and author Maggie Dent will visit the Border to give tips to dads out to improve their fathering skills.
Ms Dent will also host a session about building resilience and self-esteem in today’s children.
The event will raise money to help Albury’s Yarrunga Early Learning Centre buy educational resources and equipment.
Yarrunga management committee president Emma Sargent said all parents and carers would benefit from “Maggie’s down-to-earth and easy-to-understand approach”.
Ms Dent visited the Border last year and talked about why boys used their behaviour to communicate.
“It was so well received we were keen to invite her back,” Ms Sargent said.
Real Kids in an Unreal World: Building resilience and self-esteem is open to all. It runs on Wednesday from 12pm to 2pm. The session for fathers will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Both sessions will be held at the Albury Football Club.
Sessions cost $30 and bookings can be made at Yarrunga on 02 6021 7597 or by emailing admin@yarrunga.com.au
