The men, believed to be in their early 20s, entered the Springdale Heights Tavern bottle shop on Kaitlers Road at 8.10pm and threatened a male attendant.
Albury inspector Lynelle Rodwell said the young employee, 18, was forced into another room and a quantity of cash was stolen before the offenders ran off.
The employee was not injured in the incident.
"Although he was not injured, it is not the kind of experience you want a young person to go through when they are simply at work," Insp Rodwell said.
Insp Rodwell said police and crime scene investigators were currently at the scene and had seized a number of items.
Police conducted an extensive search of the area but could not find the offenders, who are described as about six feet tall, skinny and fair skinned. Their faces were partly covered at the time of the attack.
Last night’s robbery comes less than a fortnight after two men, one armed with a knife, held up a takeaway store in West Albury.
Anyone with information is urged to phone Albury police on (02) 6023 9299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
