The trio have been picked in the national under-16 girls’ squad to compete at the Pan Pacific youth water polo festival in New Zealand in July.
It comes off the back of the Ovens and Murray’s success at the NSW state championships at Newcastle last weekend.
Alhana Hofer, Cassie Gibbs, Phebe Mcleod, Georgie Yates, Roisin O’Brien, Chloe Luhrs, Claudia Nugent, Olivia Bahr, Brooke Dickie, Sharni Salau and Hollie Wornes were other members of the Ovens and Murray squad that was the only regional team to make it further than the quarter-finals.
After winning all three of their pool games in emphatic fashion, the Ovens and Murray went on to smash Central Coast 7-1 in their quarter- final before scoring a hard fought 5-3 win over Drummoyne in the grand final qualifier.
They emerged victorious 5-4 in a thrilling decider against the University of NSW.
Bahr and Wornes both scored twice in the grand final, with Gallaher snaring the other.
