Canines from big Great Danes to tiny Jack Russells spent the morning wagging their tails and sniffing new friends before they took their owners for a walk at Hovell Tree Park yesterday.
Kerrianne Francis, of Lavington, went along with her toy poodle, Misty, in a black sparkling tutu and Italian greyhound, Summer, in a floral outfit.
Misty chose pink to match her outfit at the nail salon.
“She likes being in the spotlight,” Ms Francis said.
“They are very, very spoiled. They are like humans.”
David Pendleton, of Yackandandah, took his labradors Fletcher and Rarni to the event.
Mr Pendleton went out to get a yogurt maker two weeks ago and came home with the puppy from the RSPCA instead.
“It was Anzac Day and nothing was opened but the RSPCA,” he said.
“She was there and I thought she needs to come home with me.”
RSPCA Albury branch vice-president Jan Kowatzik said it was important for owners to desex their animal and provide adequate food, water and shelter.
