Last year the pair helped the Commonwealth colts team to an undefeated season.
This season the teenagers stepped up into the senior pennant in division 1 to repeat the dose against Metropolitan 4.5 to 2.5 at Kingston Heath on Sunday.
Murray dominated his final match against fellow Victorian junior team member Blake Collyer, winning eight of the first 11 holes to have the game declared over at the 12th.
In a close final, there was always going to be a pivotal match and it came in the No. 4 clash between Victorian Junior Boys representative Droop and Metropolitan’s Ted Donoghue.
Droop produced a miracle shot through the tea trees at the 17th and then drained a 25-foot putt to win the hole and take a 1-up lead to the last.
