The line-up of exhibitors will grow to 146 for this year’s event to be held on August 15-17 in conjunction with the Caravan Industry Association of Victoria.
It began in 2011 with 92 sites when the original three-year deal was struck between the two parties.
A similar event is held in Bendigo in November and has grown from 180 to 200-plus exhibitors in the past 12 months.
Caravan Industry Association of Victoria chief executive Rob Lucas said the Wodonga event was experiencing rapid growth.
“We planned for growth,” he said.
“We’ve worked closely with the turf club about using the space available better.
“When you’ve got more and more people coming, you get more and more exhibitors wanting to come.”
Club general manager Tom O’Çonnor said the show underlined the racecourse’s ability to stage events other than racing.
“The club is proud of its open space facility and outside of its racing program, has a clear strategic direction to attract more key open space events for Wodonga,” he said.
“We are blessed to have such a facility located so close to the heart of the city.
“All the exhibitors stay, eat and shop on the Border.
“The event is ideally located between Sydney and Melbourne and draws visitors from all over North-East Victoria and southern NSW.
“It involves investment in facility upgrades that benefit the race club and all events held at the racecourse precinct.”
