A QUALIFIED electrician has set up a business in Wodonga hiring out the tools of the trade.

Nathan Maloney has opened Redi 2 Hire at 193 Melbourne Road.

It is family owned and operated with his wife Mel and brother Shane Maloney.

The business offers a large range of specialist tools and equipment for hire or sale.

“We saw a need for this business as there’s no other hire place in Wodonga,” Mr Maloney said.

“We stock an extensive range of new and up-to-date hire equipment for use by the home handyman, tradesman, builder and contractor.

“We can also deliver equipment to those in need around the region.”

The business opened its doors on Monday and has already had many enquiries.

“There are items like scissor lifts that tradies may use once or twice a month, so they wouldn’t spend $20,000 to purchase one when they can hire one,” Mr Maloney said.

The business is open from Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 8am to noon.
