The Hoppers face one of the biggest tests in Ovens and Murray footy when they host the reigning premier at Bunton Park.
Calma-Holt, who has been thrown into defence this season by coach Jason Akermanis, is likely to get a job on one of the Pigeons’ star forwards in Brendan Fevola, Kayne Pettifer or Brad O’Connor.
But he said the young Hoppers were embracing the challenge.
“It’s always good to test yourself against one of the league heavyweights,” Calma-Holt said.
“It will be good for us.
“Whoever gets the job, they’ll get it for a reason and we always back our guys 100 per cent.”
Calma-Holt said North Albury was disappointed to lose to Wangaratta before the bye.
“We weren’t up to scratch,” he said.
“We know that —we just need to keep improving.”
The Hoppers will wear a specially designed jumper to pay tribute to their past and present indigenous players and promote healthy lifestyles for the local indigenous community through Mungabareena.
“It looks fantastic, I’ll be very proud to wear it,” Calma-Holt said.
The match also coincides with world “no tobacco” day.
