A BOY has been arrested over an alleged indecent assault of a woman at Wangaratta this month.
The boy, 14, was interviewed and arrested on May 22, nine days after an incident where a teenager allegedly assaulted a middle-age woman walking on Murdoch Road.
He will be charged on summons to appear before a magistrates’ court at a later date.
Detective Sen-Constable Peter Evans, of the Wangaratta sex offences unit, said the boy was found with assistance from the public.
“The public have been very helpful,” he said.
“He was seen in the vicinity at the time of the attack and the public have come forward with this information.”
