YOU can’t go past a tradition that involves wine tasting and a scrumptious lunch.
Five Wangaratta friends once again gathered at Auldstone Cellars yesterday as part of Glenrowan’s annual Trails, Tastings and Tales food and wine festival.
Helen Hill, of Wangaratta, was full of praise for the winery owners, who make homemade dishes.
“Everything from start to finish is just lovely,” she said.
“It’s always a great day out with plenty of wine, food and chatter.”
The three-day festival has been celebrated on the Queen’s Birthday weekend for the past decade.
Visitors are encouraged to go in search of Australia’s most wanted wines in the historic Kelly country.
The festival also off-ers art exhibitions, live music and wine appreciation sessions over the three days.
Participating wineries include Baileys of Glenrowan, Auldstone Cellars, Booth’s Taminick Cellars, Silent Range Estate and Morrisons of Glenrowan.
