Bushrangers’ officials are delighted with the strong contingent selected to play at the premier underage carnival.
Ovens and Murray youngsters Dylan McDonald, Brydan Hodgson, Kieran Ellis, Dougal Howard, Nick Coughlan, Jim Carroll, Mitch Mahady and Isaac Muller all made the cut for the NSW-ACT squad.
Nathan Drummond, Caleb Marchbank, David Mennen and Yarrawonga’s Dan Howe are in the Victoria Country squad.
Lee Fraser, the Murray Bushrangers’ talent manager, said the TAC Cup club was thrilled with its strong representation.
“It’s a really good number,” Fraser said.
“We think it’s a good reflection on the guys and our program.
“We’re really happy with the talent we have this year.
“This is the opportunity for them to play at the highest level and we’ve been really proactive in putting our guys out there.”
NSW-ACT opens its campaign against Tasmania in Sydney on Saturday, while Victoria Country’s next match is against South Australia at Geelong’s Simonds Stadium on June 27.
The carnival culminates with a football feast at Etihad Stadium on July 2.
