The driver was towing a trailer carrying reinforced steel mesh.
Three sheets of the building material fell from the trailer about 5pm in Main Street and damaged a Mitsubishi Outlander, a Ford Ranger and a Mercedes Benz.
Leading Sen-Constable Aaron Hardinge said police were seeking the driver, who may have been in a white tray truck.
“I’d hate to think of what it would cost to fix the vehicles,” he said.
“It looks like there’s quite a bit of damage.”
Police have spoken to several witnesses.
“The cars were parked on the side of the road,” he said.
“There’s no indication the motorist knew they caused the damage, but it was very loud.
“We’re trying to work out who is responsible so they can go to their insurance company.”
