8.09AM: SPEED restrictions have been put in place after a truck ran off the road and got bogged on the Hume Highway.

Wangaratta police said the B-double ran off the road south of Springhurst about 3am.

Police are on-scene and speed restrictions have been put in place as heavy haulage machinery attempts to get the vehicle back on the road.

Police expect the truck to be removed and traffic to return to normal by about 9.30am.

The driver was not injured in the incident and his vehicle has not been damaged.
