The sixth-placed Mountain Men are four premiership points and percentage ahead of their opponents with six rounds remaining, and co-coach Regan Alexander expects a fierce tussle with the stakes so high.

“We really rate them as a team and a club and it will be a good test for our young group,” Alexander said.

“From third to eighth is tight on the ladder so every game is crucial from here.”

Bright has overcome a horror run with injuries early in the season and the results are starting to speak for themselves.

Since causing the upset of the season by defeating Glenrowan, the Mountain Men have lost a tight contest against Bonnie Doon before posting wins against North Wangaratta and King Valley.

They have also picked up recruit Sam Shaw in the past fortnight.

“We are starting to get some continuity with our side,” Alexander said.

“It’s made a difference as it was hard with game plans early in the year with consistent changes in the side.”

Moyhu has also been on a roller-coaster ride this season with form and injuries but boasts handy players in Jeremy Wilson in attack and Jaimon McGeehan, Ryan Craig and Nathan Waite in the midfield.

The Hoppers went down to an inaccurate Glenrowan by four points last weekend.
