After losing by 20 points earlier in the season, coach Jason Bannerman’s team underlined its improvement by bringing down the third-placed Gulls.
Rachel Jeffery was outstanding with 23 points and 14 rebounds while Holly Bawden finished with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Bannerman was rapt to come away with the points.
“It’s a good feeling,” Bannerman said.
“We have lifted our shooting percentages and our bench players are contributing more over the past few weeks which is making a big difference to the side.
“The improvement has been good.”
In the men, the Bushrangers defeated Oakleigh 85-59.
Jon Lindhe was unstoppable with 25 points and nine rebounds with captain Dylan Webb landing 18 points and eight rebounds.
Five players finished in double figures.
The Lady Bushrangers have this weekend off while the men play Maccabi.
