The budding dancer continues to perform well in the North East and Riverina competitions.
Her latest achievement came last month when she won the Australian Teachers of Dance intermediate classical scholarship in Melbourne.
Lexie, 14, was unsure how she would perform against dancers from across Victoria.
“I was just aiming at the top four, but I did better than that,” she said.
The scholarship has three elements — a class with an adjudicator, a classical solo and a national solo.
The top four dancers go through to the next round.
Lexie received a perpetual trophy, a trophy to keep and $300 in cash.
“Dancing has always been my passion and winning scholarships helps with the costs,” she said.
Lexie, who trains in dance at TDA Performing Arts at Benalla, will next represent Victoria at the ATOD Australasian Scholarships in Sydney next weekend.
