Jacob, who started his career in the Hume league with home club Walla, passed away unexpectedly last week aged 67.
He was a joint winner of the league’s best and fairest award, now known as the Azzi Medal, in 1966 as the Hoppers claimed the premiership that season.
Jacob signed with Corowa the following year and was a member of the Spiders’ 1968 premiership team in the Ovens and Murray.
