The Coalition received a resounding mandate to stop this “invasion” debacle created by the former Labor- Green coalition, and to date, the government has provided precisely that outcome.
This success is occurring despite every possible tactic being deployed by Labor, Greens and others so blinded in an attempt to create loopholes in government policy so to have illegals once again streaming into our nation.
Also I would like Ms McGowan to provide evidence as to the “strong feeling in the community” with this issue.
The majority of those entering illegally originate from countries with a history and tradition of alternating sectarian violence culminating in bloodshed and terrorism, as has been the case with the Sri Lankan government and Tamils.
Already we are experiencing home-grown terrorist activities as a result of previous failure to contain our borders and to adequately qualify entrants, so why allow this situation to degenerate further?
Compassion is one thing, Ms McGowan, national security another.
