IT’S probably a little difficult to find shelter under more than two dozen umbrellas caught in a tree in The Cube’s courtyard in Wodonga.

You may still get damp but the purple umbrellas among the branches will certainly brighten the sky.

The Umbrella Tree is part of Wodonga Council’s Little Gifts program and will remain in place for the next month.

Following on from last year’s yarn bombing project when the same tree was covered in yellow wool, the Wodonga Council is hoping the umbrellas will liven up the bare branches.

Wodonga library staff member Tania Quick said the installation brought a splash of colour to the area.

The Little Gifts program aims to deliver joy and inspiration to the community by revamping spaces in the city.
