Tonight it’s the turn of the youngest dancers in classical, jazz and tap solos, and the days to come will bring the culmination of hours of rehearsal on the part of the dancers, singers, actors and musicians and plenty of work by their teachers and parents in support.
Since the revival of the annual eisteddfod in 1982, the event has grown in strength and now offers 17 days of competition for performers and plenty of entertainment for appreciative audiences.
Performers and their supporters come from throughout southern NSW and Victoria’s North East, and from as far afield as Canberra and Melbourne, providing substantial income during their visit to the Border.
It’s an enormous amount of work for the team behind the eisteddfod with volunteer support invaluable to the event’s smooth running and success.
Congratulations to all those involved and hopefully the performers will enjoy a successful time in the spotlight, whether it’s their first time on stage or they are a regular participant.
