Daniel James Gavel, 37, was charged with 14 offences after his arrest in the early hours of Friday outside his unit in Dight Street.
He was refused bail when he appeared in court and the matters were adjourned until yesterday in Albury Local Court.
But magistrate Tony Murray said he had received a medical certificate saying Gavel was unable to attend court.
He is being held in custody at Junee jail after having bail refused.
The court was told in tendered facts that officers spoke to him for about 15 minutes.
He then told them: “I’ve got my dad in here and he has got you lined up right now. He’s a sharpshooter.”
Police set up a perimeter and about an hour later Gavel came out of his unit armed with a steel pipe with four nails protruding from it.
He was arrested by police after officers drew a stun gun and pistol.
The charges against him include affray, two counts of using an offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention, intimidating police, two counts of assault and being armed with intent.
