ALBURY ruckman Aisake O’hAilpin will front the Ovens and Murray tribunal tonight after being reported for striking by the league’s match review panel.
O’hAilpin was cited by the umpires for striking Lavington youngster Chris Annett in an off the ball incident during the first quarter of Saturday’s blockbuster at Lavington Oval.
Annett played out the remainder of the match, which the Panthers won by 12 points after trailing by 26 points at the first change.
The second-placed Tigers face Myrtleford at the Albury Sportsground on Saturday after suffering their first loss of the season.
In a busy night at the tribunal, Wangaratta Rovers star Daniel Archer will contest a charge of striking Wangaratta’s Matt Hedin in Sunday’s derby at the Norm Minns Oval.
Archer was reported by boundary umpire Brendan Norden during the second quarter.
Wodonga Raiders defender Brock Knights was also reported for striking North Albury’s Nick Holman by central umpire Tony Parsons.
Knights received a yellow card after the incident, which happened during the second quarter at Birallee Park.
