Wild, who will leave to play college golf at Tarleton University in Texas next week, won the two-day stroke play event on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old opened with an impressive 73 on the lightning greens at the Murray Course on Tuesday before wrapping up the 36-hole tournament by four strokes the next day.
Wild was seeded No. 1 for the matchplay quarter finals and duly won 5 and 3 early yesterday.
But Alexandra Hilliard from Cardinia — Beaconhills, who also plays off 1, was a far tougher assignment in the semi-final in the afternoon.
Hilliard triumphed after the contest had gone to an extra hole.
It is the second successive year that Wild has lost in the semi-final of the prestigious title.
Wangaratta’s Georgia Macklan was also beaten by Hilliard, in her quarter-final.
Wodonga’s Catherine Odgers, who is also heading back to college golf later this month, missed out on the matchplay action after being beaten in a play-off for the eighth spot on Wednesday afternoon.
Hilliard will play Port Fairy’s Joanna Flaherty in the final at Yarrawonga today.
