Youth aged 17 to 24 are encouraged to get a qualification and their hands dirty through the Green Army project.
The scheme is an Abbott government plan where 15,000 youngsters in the country will be provided with training by 2018 thanks to $525 million being budgeted over the four-year period.
The Border will be home to one of 196 initial projects.
Member for Farrer Sussan Ley expected the initiative would grant at least 10 people on the Border jobs.
They will work with Parklands Albury Wod-onga on the Albury to Bandiana Rail Trail Wildlife Corridor restoration, which will see the Murray River Adventure Trail extended and linked to the High Country Rail Trail.
