A MAN was threatened with a knife when he awoke to an intruder attempting to steal from him on Saturday morning.

The 20-year-old was woken in his Wagga home about 2.40am and saw a strange man standing next to him.
The victim was then threatened before the intruder left the house, on The Esplanade, with a laptop, knives and baseball caps but dropped them when confronted.
The thief is described as a 50 to 60-year-old Caucasian, 165 to 170 centimetres tall with a large build and grey, balding hair.
