A man armed with a knife entered the service station on the corner of Station Street and the Murray Valley Highway about 10.30pm.
He demanded cash from the female staff member, who then handed over money and cigarettes.
The man was seen running towards a vehicle on Station Street, which picked up the man before driving north.
Officers will review security footage and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
