They want your family secrets

WHETHER it’s Aunt Bessie’s custard or a tasty curry that’s been in the family for generations, UnitingCare and Healthy Together Wodonga want your secret recipes.

Their new cookbook is being created to help the community replace too much takeaway with wholesome, cheap, easy-to-make meals.

“It won’t be just another book on the shelf,” UnitingCare’s Alison Reed said.

“It will engage the community through food and recipes.”

Healthy Together’s Kat Bennett said her group, a partnership between the Wodonga Council and Gateway Community Health, had provided $2500 to help make healthy eating more accessible.

The cookbook will be launched in October.

Recipes can be sent to wodonga.unitingcare.org.au or phone (02) 6024 2108.
