James Welsh, 27, and Bradley Watt, 19, faced an out of sessions court hearing last night after being charged with armed robbery.
They were remanded to appear at Shepparton Magistrates Court today.
Police had earlier alleged a man armed with a knife entered the petrol station and demanded money and cigarettes from a female staff member about 10.30pm.
The man left the store, entered a white Ford Falcon station wagon driven by another person, and fled the scene.
The men were arrested in Cobram about 4pm yesterday.
