FROM the perspective of the aged, it is confusing and rather sad as we move towards the end of our lives, to be almost continually assaulted by headlines detailing man’s inhumanity to man, even including children.
But sometimes a ray of sunshine slips through, most times without much publicity.
A case in point: we had a kitchen chair which had collapsed metal legs on it and we took it for repair to an engineering firm selected from the phone book.
This would have involved considerable time in setting up and skill.
When we picked up the repaired article, the firm involved refused any payment.
Thank you Albury Steel Fabricators, you can have no idea of how much you have cheered up a couple in their 80s.
