Abbott shows who counts

THE article “George says it’s not OK to be a bigot”, (The Border Mail, August 6), is a good example of who this government holds dear and owes its loyalty to.

It’s reported that Tony Abbott called Andrew Bolt to tell him directly that changes to the 18C discrimination legislation would be abandoned.

This was very considerate of him was it not?

The Australian people cannot be told most of what is happening in their name about border security but a right wing journalist can be spoken to directly by the Prime Minister about changes to legislation that he wanted changed.

Yes, we are all born equal in Australia, but it seems that some are born more equal than others.
