NORTH East Lady Bushrangers captain Rachel Jeffery has taken out her team’s most valuable player award. Jeffery, who averaged 18.9 points and 7.5 rebounds a match, polled 34 votes to edge out Stacey Browne by seven. Alana Sutton (14), Sarah Mellington (11) and Holly Bawden (10) made up the minor placings. In the men, Jon Lindhe took out the top award with 27 votes. Lindhe finished the home and away series with 13.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists a match. Dylan Webb and Bobby Tye came runner-up on 22 votes while Josh McKay was next on 14. Jade McCowan and Lloyd Wright took out the rising star awards while Stacey Browne and Sam McDonald won leadership awards.
