Height racked up 37 touches in the midfield and simply dominated as the Saints brought the Bulldogs back to earth with a thud after they won their first game for the year last round.
The Saints, who were coming off an impressive second half against league heavyweight Albury, picked up where they left off.
They piled on eight goals to one in the first quarter to blow the Bulldogs completely out of the water.
“It was a very pleasing outcome, for sure,” Myrtleford co-coach Leigh Corcoran said.
“We extracted plenty of confidence out of that second half against Albury and there were a lot of good signs.
“We were really happy with our first and last quarters.
“Wodonga was always going to surge at some point but we were able to withstand that, which was pleasing.”
Myrtleford had winners everywhere.
Not only was Height sublime, but youngsters Christian Burgess and Nathan Cossignani also did bulk damage.
Cossignani booted a game-high bag of five goals, with Burgess adding four of his own from the midfield. Brad and Hayden Murray added three more each to ensure the Saints ran out convincing winners.
Wodonga coach Ben Hollands was once again the Bulldogs’ best player, with youngster Tom Bowring booting four goals and showing plenty of positive signs for the future.
Corcoran said the Saints planned on carrying their momentum into their final games of the season.
Myrtleford travels to W.J. Findlay Oval this week to tackle Wangaratta Rovers before finishing the year off at home against North Albury.
“We want to finish the year strongly,” Corcoran said.
“Our preparation is all about Wangaratta Rovers now.
“We’re looking forward to the challenge.
“We’ll take a lot out of this game into this week.”
