BRENDEN Hasler will be the latest from the Wodonga Diamonds’ camp to be missing in action. The midfielder engaged in a running battle with Albury City’s Peter Cominos on Sunday, but was replaced in the second half not long after receiving a yellow card. The pair again clashed after the game and SS understands when the referee intervened Hasler was unimpressed. His outburst produced a second yellow card and an automatic week on the sidelines. Diamonds were already without Jarrod Herzina and Steve Currie, while cup final best on ground Jesse Stephens was still unsure of the extent of his hamstring strain. Diamonds coach Jimmy Bell said it had been a year where anything that could go wrong, had gone wrong.
