They were rushed to Albury hospital with head injuries after a man broke into their room at Culcairn Motor Inn about 1.30am and bashed them.
Police believe the men and their attacker had been drinking at the Culcairn Hotel on Wednesday night and a disagreement then may have sparked the incident.
The offender, 23, turned himself into police soon after the attack.
He has been charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, aggravated enter dwelling, specially agg-ravated enter dwelling, wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
Albury Inspector David Cottee said, while the man had been charged, police were still seeking information on a second man who may have been involved.
“We are making inquiries into a second man,” Insp Cottee said.
The victims are aged 22 and 34.
One of the victims was yesterday flown to Melbourne for facial surgery due to a fractured jaw.
