Former Albury mayor Alice Glachan and her husband, Nicholas Little, received the award at the company’s conference on the Gold Coast last week.
“The award is ‘B-shaped’ — we have won a lot of small Bs in the past but this year we have the big B,” Ms Glachan said.
The 18-award criteria included sales, safety, training, presentation and customer service.
Mr Little said they had worked seven days a week for their success.
“Within a year of opening we had the global financial crisis,” he said.
“We were the smallest franchise and thought we would never be as good as the big stores, but now we are.”
The store has seven staff, as well as the couple’s two sons.
Ms Glachan said they had defeated 85 other franchises for the award.
“Our staff and team share our goals. They do an enormous amount,” she said.
