The syndicate of 21 friends, who will each receive about $68,000 as their share of the $1.4 million division one prize, yesterday told a Tattslotto official they were stunned by their win in Saturday’s draw.
“There’s a lot of excitement among the group now,” their representative said.
“We’ll have to get together to discuss claiming our prize.”
The syndicate’s Tattslotto 12-game marked ticket was bought at Birallee Lotto, Wodonga.
Agency worker Marlene Smedley said having a division one winner was very exciting.
“Every week, I hope for a winner,” she said.
“Our last division one winner was in April 2012 when a single winner landed $469,462.57.
The winner’s identity then remained a mystery for two weeks until the agency managed to track down a surprised Wodonga woman.
Two other winning entries in last Saturday’s draw were sold in NSW.
