The curator of a State Library of Victoria exhibition, about the French novel and its author Victor Hugo, will hold two sessions, one for school children and the other for the public, on Thursday.
Anais Lelloche will discuss Hugo’s life in the 19th century, the writing of Les Miserables and its legacy through stage and film adaptations.
The Victor Hugo: Les Miserables From Page to Stage display, that opened at Wodonga Lib-rary yesterday, will run to September 5.
It complements the state library exhibition that features the original manuscript of Les Miserables, artworks by Hugo and film costumes.
Ms Lelloche’s public talk will start at 6.30pm next Thursday.
