Labor was thrown out of office because of its fiscal stupidity in creating a projected deficit of $667 billion.
They relish spending taxpayers’ money and hence find themselves having to justify paying $1 billion every month in interest.
This money could be better spent on projects to employ young people, money to be injected into Medicare, public housing, refugee costs, education and so on.
No amount of postulating and whingeing will conceal the fact that no Labor government has ever ended its term in office with a surplus.
Before Alan and his local Labor supporters attempt to lecture us on the harsh actions needed to address our economy, they should educate Wayne Swan and his cohorts in the fundamentals of economics.
Anti-Australian members of our Senate are doing their level best to stop Joe Hockey from building a surplus, knowing full well Labor will squander it again as soon as it gets in power.
Many voters despise Clive Palmer for being an opportunist but he wouldn’t have the money he now has if he spent more than he saved.
Letting some politicians be treasurers is tantamount to leaving a fox in charge of the henhouse.
