Claire Redman, of Rutherglen, showed her little pony Nilton Zizou may be small but he comes in a fairly spectacular package by claiming the pony elementary championship.
Ms Redman and Zizou dominated the ponies, claiming a resounding first place in both elementary tests with strong percentages in a good-sized class.
Great mate and well-known show and dressage rider Sara Love, of Corowa, trotted away with the pony preliminary championship on Willlowcroft Lancelot, owned by Jan Kay of Albury.
Albury rider Jodie O’Sullivan took out the overall preliminary championship on the lovely mare Larapinta Rosaria in a field of 24 horses.
Ms Love earned a 5th and 6th place in the same preliminary class on another well-campaigned horse Manorvale Blue and Royal.
Larapinta Rosaria claimed a 4th place in the Novice 2.2 the next day for her first outing at that level and Ms Love took out a 2nd place in the other novice class on Manorvale Blue and Royal.
Other local riders to compete included Kerrie Wise, Danielle Cleland, Dugald Bruce and Chantelle Matthews.
