JASON Raine, Trent Marks and Ash Broughton will umpire Sunday’s O and M grand final.
All three will make their debut on the biggest stage of all.
Marks said the inexperienced trio were confident they wouldn’t be overcome by the occasion.
“We’ll go into the game like normal and go from there,” he said.
“We’ll just go in as a team and talk about it before the game to try and calm the nerves.
“There will obviously be 15,000 people there so you want to make sure you get the calls right.
“We don’t want any headlines.”
All three umpires featured regularly at senior level during the home and away season and have been umpiring during the finals.
Raine, who won the O and M’s umpire of the year, said he couldn’t wait for his grand final debut.
“I’m pretty excited,” he said.
“I was pretty shocked to get umpire of the year, but I’ve put in the hard yards.”
Broughton, who umpired the O and M’s interleague win in May, said the game would be umpired no differently than normal.
“Grand finals are obviously a bigger occasion but it’s just another game,” he said.
“Us three getting chosen comes down to the work we’ve put in from the pre-season until now.”
