WODONGA champion Rebecca Cameron says she is playing her best netball at the right time of the season.
Cameron, who alongside coach Kylie Murphy and star youngster Jane Cook, has formed the league’s most dangerous attacking combination, said it had taken work to adjust to life with Cook around, but is confident with how the Bulldogs are placed leading into Sunday’s grand final against Yarrawonga.
Cameron has spent time at wing attack but is still capable of being thrown into the goal circle.
“Initially, it took me a while to adjust,” she said.
“In the past I’ve been the dominant goaler.
“I’m playing a bit of a different style of game but I’m coming good at the right time of the year and settled into that spot.”
Murphy said the move hadn’t hurt Cameron.
“This has been one of Bec’s best years,” she said.
“Her shooting stats are fantastic but it’s the way she does the work up the court.
“It’s been a little bit different with Jane and we do have to mix it up when she is on the court.
“Bec’s changed her game a bit and worked hard with Jane.
“But you can still give Bec the ball under the ring and she just doesn’t miss.”
