In a shattering blow, the talented tall defender tore his anterior cruciate ligament in round 18.
He had surgery in Melbourne last week.
Myrtleford co-coach Brad Murray said the injury had put a sour note on the end of the season.
“He’s pretty shattered about it,” Murray said.
“He was pretty unlucky.
“His foot got stuck in the ground during a contest while his body spun and unfortunately it was the worst case scenario.
“It was a really disappointing way for him to finish the year.
“We swung him back and he had a really good season.”
Murray said the club wouldn’t rush the future prospect back.
“He only had it done last week so we’ll play his recovery by ear,” Murray said.
“But we can’t take short cuts.
“He’s just keen to do everything right so he can get back.
“We’re not sure yet.”
In better news, Murray said the Alpine Saints had been revelling in Kristan Height’s Morris Medal victory.
“It was a great result,” Murray said.
“He’s a quality player and we’re lucky to have him.”
