They will be recognised for drug seizures, sexual assault investigations and an elaborate car rebirthing operation.
Victoria Police eastern region Supt Paul O’Halloran will also present divisional commendations to 15 officers and civilian members of three search teams that rescued two men from Mount Bogong in July.
And three officers will receive regional commendations for their work investigating jewellery burglaries and drug trafficking that led to 1100 stolen items valued at $557,926 being recovered.
Supt O’Halloran said those officers honoured had carried out their duties ethically and diligently.
He said the civilian rescue teams involved in the Mount Bogong rescue deserved particular praise.
“It’s an important day to recognise the service of police officers,” he said.
“In relation to the investigations, the officers certainly need to show dedication, commitment and tenacity to get these results.
“It’s also important we recognise the families of members who are there to support them as well.
“But from my point of view, the most impressive one is the contributions of the civilians in the Mount Bogong search.
“The alpine rescue was high risk and it took a great deal of experience and training.”
In other noteworthy cases, Leading Sen-Constable Jason Frede will be recognised for two vehicle stops where more than two kilograms of methamphetamine, other drugs and more than $24,000 in cash were seized, leading to four arrests.
Sgt Michael Connors will be recognised for a media initiative for his idea to place white crosses on the Hume Highway at fatality sites, and two officers will be commended for their roles in a double homicide.
Service awards will also be given to officers at the event, which will be held at Wangaratta Gateway.
