MOST punters were left gobsmacked after race three at Albury on Tuesday when long-shot Ruary Mac lobbed in a maiden and paid a whopping $193.50 on the NSW TAB.

But it seems not all.
The TAB posted on social media yesterday, that 83 lucky punters had backed Ruary Mac on the tote alongside several others on TAB fixed odds.
Winning trainer Chris Davis admitted to having $10 each way for his wife but was kicking himself after taking the bookmakers’ $71 on course.
The couple joint own the galloper.
Ruary Mac was given little hope after starts at Sandown and Swan Hill resulted in a combined losing margin of 32 lengths.
The five-year-old gelding also drew the outside in the 14-horse field.
Ruary Mac also had to survive a protest to land his first win.
